Pebble WFM

Connect Google Calendar

Connect your Google Calendar to Pebble WFM and your planner can see when you're busy, so you aren't put on the phones during your dentist appointment or a day of training. Connecting is your choice. Your organisation can't do it for you.

Connecting

  1. In Pebble, open your name at the bottom of the menu and choose Account.
  2. Choose Connect Google Calendar and sign in to Google.
  3. Google asks you to let Pebble see your availability. Allow it, and you're back in Pebble.

Your busy times then show on your row of the schedule, from two weeks back to two months ahead, and stay up to date as your calendar changes.

What Pebble sees

By default, only when you're busy. Each appointment shows as "Busy", with no name, place or guests. Your planner sees the time is taken, and Pebble won't count you as available for it.

If you'd rather your planner saw what each appointment is, so they can tell "Dentist" from "Team lunch", switch on Show appointment names in Account. Google asks once more, this time to let Pebble read your events. With names on, an all-day item such as "Training" keeps you off the whole day, and appointments you've declined or marked as free are left out. Switch names off again at any time, and they're removed from Pebble straight away.

Pebble reads only your main calendar, never changes it, and never sees descriptions or who else is invited.

Disconnecting

In Account, choose Disconnect. Pebble gives up its access at Google and removes everything it brought in from your calendar. You can also remove Pebble from your Google account's third-party connections.

Privacy

Your calendar is used only to show your appointments on your schedule and keep you from being rostered into them. Pebble's own staff never see appointment names, even when helping your organisation. The details are in the privacy policy.
